Service Providers' Continuity Management

Service Providers' Continuity Management

A company's crisis tolerance is often dependent on the ability of service providers or suppliers to manage their own disruption situations. Therefore, careful planning of the continuity of one's own operations alone is not enough, but also the plans and preparedness of key partners must be brought to an adequate level. On behalf of the company, we assess the ability of subcontractors to manage serious disturbances and as a result, we will submit an evaluation report with development proposals.
The scope and content of the evaluation are always agreed separately, the evaluation can consist of, for example, the following entities:
Identifying critical subcontractors, such as key component or raw material suppliers and critical service providers, helps target the most relevant stakeholders in the evaluation process.
Subcontractor evaluation: important aspects include, among others, the subcontractor's own continuity planning and contingency measures, financial situation, company historical data, supply capacity, production capacity and quality control.
Audits and audits: regular audits and audits are recommended. They can ensure that subcontractors comply with continuity or contingency plans, agreed quality standards, safety requirements and other key industry-specific regulations.
Cooperation and information exchange practices: especially in crisis situations and exceptional circumstances, good cooperation and effective open exchange of information with subcontractors is important for the continuity of the supply chain. It is recommended to establish an open communication channel with subcontractors to share information on changes, risk management measures and contingency plans.
Ensuring continuous monitoring and updates. Continuity planning is not a one-time task. Changing conditions and new threats may affect the activities of subcontractors and therefore constant monitoring and periodic evaluation is recommended.
